Fifty years ago, in 1974, visionary author and creator Stephen Cosgrove founded Serendipity Books. You may have seen Stephen, and Morgan, the beloved unicorn featured in five of his books, at one of our past festivals. But THIS YEAR, we’re going over the top celebrating Serendipity Books and the man who started it all! Stephen will be onsite selling and signing books. But that’s not all!
We’re creating an ENTIRE Serendipity Island at our festival! Adjacent to Stephen’s booth will be:Â
- Morgan the Unicorn live and ready for photo opps all day both days!
- Storytime Cottage Serendipity Takeover! Readings from the classic series all day both days!
ALL ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT ARE INCLUDED WITH ADMISSION!

3 SHOWS DAILY: UNICORN HUGS - TRICK UNICORNS!
Unicorn Hugs is our kind of company… A Florida-based non-profit, all proceeds from their appearances support their visits inside childrenâs hospitals nationwide. Imagine the amazing therapy these little unicorns can provide when they walk into a childâs hospital room! In 2023, we had ONE of the trick unicorns come visit. And in 2024 – we’re bringing out all 3 of the Unicorn Hugs unicorns – along with their own magical tent! Daily Stage performances at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00!

We’re showing our scaly, fire-breathing friends some extra love this year. Because – It’s THEIR YEAR, after all! Help us celebrate the year of the Dragon! All included with admission!
- Opening Ceremony: Dragon Parade, presented by the Colorado Asian Culture Heritage Center: Saturday 10:30 AM
- Massive 66-ft Inflatable Dragon Obstacle Course!
- Colorado Dragon Boat Festival Presents: Free Art Activities in our Dragon’s Den tent!
- Dragon Bounce House: Fireball Fred, for the little kids!
- “I’ll Bet a Dragon Could” author Dave Radman, doing readings and book signings in our Dragon’s Den tent!
- Gigantic Castle & Dragon slides and Obstacle Course – with four 15′ slides guarded by a huge dragon!
- Puff the Magic Dragon Singalong with Simon & Simone – Tunes & Tales stage, 2:30 each day.Â
